Big Ant Studios, Australia's leading sports video game company, are proud to announce that Cricket for current generation consoles will be released this Summer - it's Cricket like you've never seen it before!

Promising to be the best and most fun Cricket game ever to grace a console, the game shall include all nations of the world cup and all current formats including Fifty-over, Test matches, and 20-20.

Stay tuned for more news and exciting competitions leading up to the launch day.

Hopefully it's not as bad as the Ashes cricket game!

Kinda good to hear a new Cricket game is being developed but these guys seem like clowns..

They said AFL Premiership 2010 would be released by the start of the AFL season, then pushed it to the midway point of the year and then the finals... Still don't have a game completed apparently and the Home and Away season is over. This is ridiculous..

I really want a game on PS3 like EA Sport's Cricket 07 on the PS2, no it wasn't the best graphics but the gameplay was pretty sweet.

Yeah I love cricket 07 on Ps2. Game play is so much better then any other cricket games created.

There's no point in making the game unless they get it 100% right.

A few things i would like to see improved in a Cricket game

Realism- Ricky Ponting Cricket, Ashes Cricket, Cricket 07 all had something in common..

They were unrealisitic and too easy to play, even if you turn the difficulty up. After a few weeks of playing these games you kind of get sick of rolling a side for 10 and having 0-350 off 10 Overs. This really needs to improve because it starts to bore me.

Graphics- Need to be improved. Going on EA Sport's last attempt Cricket 07, we certainly have a problem with graphics in Cricket games. EA Sports are the richest sporting gaming company in the world and produces top class Sports games such as Tiger Woods PGA Tour and FIFA. These games have beautiful graphics so why aren't they beautiful in Cricket games..?

More Licenses- I know it's hard and expensive but why not License every single team, brand and stadium to make the game feel more real. Your the richest and best Sports Gaming company in the world guys, for the money you get back from profits from selling the game you should be able to do this.

More Competitions/Leagues- Again on Licenses. One of your most successful releases FIFA is packed with tournaments so why can't we see an improved Australian Domestic set-up, improved County leagues and maybe even the Indian Premier League.

The final one: More game modes- Looking back at FIFA again, your have a full menu of different game modes so this in a cricket game would be cool. Also a 'Career Mode' would be brilliant
