Hey guys.... I'm looking at grabbing some health insurance primarily just for Dental reasons & I have done a stack of research but still not entirely sure which place to go with..... I would MUCH prefer a company that has currently got their waiting period for general dental waived as I would like to get my teeth done ASAP & from what I can see I think the only ones that are currently waiving the waiting period are HBF & Medibank Private.
Looking at these two you can get plans from HBF from as low as $8/month.... though it seems what they pay depend on your plan.... however it's still confusing with all their jargon..... like for example they say for a general filling they pay from $39 for their basic plan & then they also have text stating they pay like 60% - 80% depending on your cover.. so which is it!?
One thing I like about HBF is they say they have no limit on general dental stuff.... whereas with MediBank Private you have to get their top-end extras cover to get no-limit, however there still is a $300 sub-limit during the first 6-months...... which sucks!
HBF sounds like the go from what I wrote above, but was reading a thread from another forum about them (albeit from 2004) with several people & their doctors basically saying they were crap.
If anyone can shed any insight and/or suggestions my way it would be highly appreciated!
