Always wondered why does beckett indicate that a card is going up in value with a green arrow

And the following week the card stays on the same value with no green arrow.

I mean if the card value is going up,its going up

Why do they do that , so misleading???

Thanks

Exactly!!!

For eg: week 1 card value $1000
Week 2 card value $1000 ^ rising
Week 3 card value still $1000 no arrow

This has happened numorous times ive seen it

It's either gone up the last month, is going up by the next issue or is a mistake.

The online Beckett , seems to have an arrow stay around too long(after it's already gone up) OR the arrow pops up before the price goes up...

I use, (Check recent price movement) on Beckett, but it only works on the last 10 cards per player, I would love to see the History on a single player, that would be great.

A more important question would be, why does the Beckett even exist when only a small percentage of people use it for valuing cards??

Seems to me that feebay is the new authority on card prices as pretty much no one will pay anything over last feebay sale values unless they desperately want the card.

I use it all the time?

I collect MJ cards only and can say that 95% of the time a REAL sale falls in between the Beckett Low-High price guide.

The only ones that don't are unseen cards that never come on the market, so it's impossible to gauge...

eBay is not a good guide with the amount of BS sales, one could be lead to think just about any price is real...
