Beckett Grading Question

I am looking at sending a variety of cards off to get Beckett graded and I have a question for those who have done this in the past (from Australia).

Insurance. Now the question is not if I get insurance it is if the insurance value is say $5K when Beckett send the cards back is customs going to try and sting me for duty on the insured value? How have members overcome the customs/duty tax issues. (if there is anything to worry about.)

I don’t want to have a shit fight with customs about it. I know when a member here redeemed his solid gold last year customs were all over that and he had a bitch of a time explaining to them how he pulled the card from a pack and redeeming it.

I may have nothing to worry about but I was just putting my feelers out there to see what other members had experienced when sending some high end stuff or high volume off to be graded.

Cheers

You MAY be better off sending your cards to someone in the States first, then have them do the redemption process for you, then ship them back to ya after that.

I've no experience with grading etc, but I'm almost certain that they'd over-charge you shipping fees to and from.
