For advice of OCTers to be wary of what you are bidding on with ebay.
I recently purchased a carpet sqare with the MCG logo.
Fair enough if you bid on something you expect the picture displayed would resemble what you are bidding on and that the description would clearly articulate the condition of what you are bidding on. I was lucky enough that I got a refund on this but was out of pocket for return postage.
I don't want to put people off obtaining a piece of history because a good piece looks fantastic, but just make sure you ask for a scan of the actual item before you bid. I would still love a piece of this carpet to mount with one of my treasures, but am afraid that all the good quality pieces may have gone and there are potentially just scraps left.
This item was unusable for any decent display due to the shocking state it was in.[-X
Happy hunting everyone and hope you have better luck than I did
regards Russell
