Just started playing again, nothing too uptempo or anything too competition.

Just need better shoes, as my shitty And 1s are fucked, no air circulation, and lack of cushioning.

Can anyone recommend a pair, or even websites that sell nice suitable shoes, but nothing over the top like Foot locker's $300/pair.

Currently looking on Ebay, and found a pair of Shox from the US $89.99 without shipping.

I'm wearing some cheap Fila's at the moment, very low cut and very light!

My best shoes of all time though were the first Nike Penny Hardaways! They were a dream, lasted about 3 years! They just started making them again about a year ago...but in fucking orange! :? That's some ugly ass shit and they cost about twice as mush the second time around...prob poorer quality as well.

I say the "old-school" jordans are nice. You can get them at the Nike factory for a fair price. I got my last year for $130.

As for nikes over the net I say don't do it. Nike shoxes go for $220 in shops and you have to wonder why its only US $89.99. There are heaps of fake stuff on ebay.

I just got myself a new pair of And 1's...Uprise Low cuts...

i have fucked ankles, so low cuts werent a great choice, but my balance is heaps good on em...my last pair (and 1 rise mids) were awesome, but my feet totally grounded the fuck out of the soles, I had to replace them every week towards the end of last season with dodgy ones from coles, playing 3 games a week killed em...

I'm over expensive basketball shoes, I just feel they don't make them like they used to, now they go for aesthetics rather than comfort and support.

Go grab yourself some Dunlop Andrew Gazes from K-Mart!

US eBay is good for some nice cheap shoes, as long as you look for the genuine private sellers.
I got myself a nice pair of Blue T-Mac 3's for around $21 US. Cost for the faster Airmail shipping turned out at $25. So a good deal in the end. They were brand new with tags, just didn't have the original box and were from a private seller.

I agree with you, Funky dude. I had a pair, and they were the best pair I've ever had. Fitted my feet perfectly, and gave great ankle support. I was wearing them when I dislocated my ankle, and a doctor who was there basically said that they stopped me breaking my ankle as they were the high cut (commercial, not NBA style)

Although I've also had 2 pairs of Fila's over the years, and they've been fantastic. For that matter, so have my Converse's. The brand I have most problem with has been Nike's (unfortunately, as they've releasedd some nice shoes)
