Banned members

This may be a stupid question.

Back in the day I noticed that when members that became banned had "Banned" labelled under their avatar.
Now it seems that this does not occur when someone is banned, why?

I may of had a few too many beers but I noticed it and remember it was handy knowing a member was banned under their avatar as not to bother trying to contact them.

Ok, now I'm having some more beers.

it's not automated, it's only if the mods change their title to banned it appears under their name.

any banned user shows up with their name crossed out like this one:

Oh, ok.

I have never seen a crossed name before.

Is that just a mod thing? Because there is no cross through any names of users that I assume are banned because I cannot access their profiles.

pretty sure everyone should be able to see the crossed names, maybe another member can confirm that.

ok found a little trick and all banned members should now read BANNED under their username.

I also saw the crossed out name Andrew so I guess it might have been certain browsers or devices

And it's crossed out for me now too. Mods may have changed something.
