Awards time, who gets them and why?

So it's that time of year, I'm wondering if there will be any surprises this year.

Here are my pics for the season awards.

MVP: Lebron James, easy, has stepped up whenever he's needed to because he can, I also think he's been in about 2nd gear all season.

COY: George Karl. If this guy does not get it than that is BS. This team has 4 LESS WINS THAN OKC!!!! They also have the toughest home court in the League. G. Karl just seems to make average teams excellent. I'd love to see him with a superstar or two again.

DPOY: T. Allen. This one is super tough, I believe T. Allen is the best on ball defender in the League. I also think Lebron James could win this award too, his efforts at both ends are phenomenal.


MIP: Vucevic, this guy has crunched out big double/doubles game in and game out. Vasquez would be pretty close too.

6th Man: J.R. Smith. He has carried the Knicks at certain stages and bailed them out loads of times.

Just my opinion without doing too much research.

I shall look forward to hearing others thoughts.

Likely but I think coaches like Erik Spoelstra or Scott Brooks should have a look in.

Agree with you, this one is tricky, can go to many players. I think even big guys like Serge Ibaka or even Dwight Howard would stand a chance.

How about James Harden, from an excellent 6th man to a starter with top 5 scoring averages.

No question about this. Should go to JR smith hands down.

A couple of surprises already, P. George deserves MIP no doubt, he's been great all season. Does it on both ends.

Gasol getting DPOY was a little surprising but well deserved.I still think Lebron should have gotten it over him. Even J. Noah would have been well deserved.

All NBA teams will be interesting.

Nino you're right, Griffin should probably get in there, over D. Lee I guess.

You are high if you think Bosh is better than Noah though. I'm not so sure you can have the 2nd best player in the League (Durant) in the 2nd team.

Maybe I have B. Lopez too high. He may be out.

I'm surprised that there was little mention of James harden for MIP award. I thought he had quite an improvement. Hopefully he gets into the all-nba team.
