Come on, how many movies are truly original these days anyway? There's supposedly a lot of underlying propoganda in Avatar but I will not dwell into that. The movie, was brilliant, and I thoroughly enjoyed it for what it was .

Surely after watching the movie and understanding the plot you would see that yes it is very similar to Pochahontas, but that being said, 1/5 movies these days have near identical plots and twists to films that have already been made in the past.

Hey I'm not complaining, I paid my money and sat in awe of the effects and the story wasn't bad at all, just stating there's been alot of talk about the similarities and the actual story has been done before.

I'm well aware of the originality problem in Hollywood. This is why we're getting so many remakes, that and the fact that they can pull off effects that they never could before. The problem with Avatar is it's Pokahauntas pretending to be Avatar rather than a remake.

I still enjoyed it though and I'm far from an Avatar 'basher', IMO, I just see it for what it is aswell.

the thing is name one movie that isnt a ripoff of some other movie,have you noticed that there are generally more then 1 movie about the same thing coming out at the same time (volcano,Dante's peak.Armagedon,sudden impact).We all know hollywood hasnt had an original idea since,well I don't know when,more power to him if he did rip off disney,as long as it's good who really cares.
