Gidley, Lewis, Boyd all lucky to be there...Matt Scott might not be there if it was picked on form. Trent Merrin and Aaron Woods certainly had a case for selection.

Looking at that team and thinking of a few players also not picked, i think NSW will have a pretty strong team this year - Maloney, Farrah, Morris, Gallen, Watmough, Bird, Merrin, Woods, Tamou and a couple of halfbacks playing well...no doubt they will stick Gidley in there though!

Short a prop on bench. No need for lewis and gidley. If a back gets injured lewis will fit in there. Smith can play 80 so Gidley really a waste of a player in my mind
