How good is this day and week? a few beers with friends, playing footy, cricket, volleyball in the pool, Triple J countdown, just proud to be an Aussie and love this country so much.

You are right, Old school music is still the best, but friends love it, so I'm the sheep, I drink every time a bad song comes on, so yeah could be an interesting day by the time the countdown finishes.

I will be working to, but won't be the same as any other day

Any overtime worked on a public holiday will be paid at double the employees applicable overtime rates

My normal overtime rate is double time, got a change of shift from night to day so it will be 12 hours of double double bubble, plus get paid ordinary time for the night shift I changed off and also the public holiday

Many say it is "UnAustralian" to work on Aus day, i say it would be unaustralian of me not to

I read today that unions want to make Australia Day a week long holiday!?! WTF?? I am all for a week off anytime, but that's patriotism and unionism gone mad.
