At what stage/milestone does a collector become a supercollector?

I would think your patch set would class you are a super collector of that set for sure!

I reckon anyone who PC's a player becomes a super collector when they have accumulated not only most of the issued cards, but also other items of that player such as signed shoes, jersey's photo's etc etc

We’re going to dedicate an upcoming issue of Beckett Sports Card Monthly to showcasing SuperCollectors — and we want to see your collections.
We’ll pick the most interesting and most outrageous collections for the magazine, but first we need to hear about your stash.
You don’t have to have the most-expensive collection on the block but it needs to be unique — downright crazy — in some way that it stands out.
Here are your instructions …
Send in an email to readersrock@beckett.com the following information:
1. Name, age, your email address, your location (city, state) and who/what you collect.
2. Statistics about your collection (total cards, number of 1/1s, number of autographs, number of game-used cards or items, etc.)
3. Tell us why you should be picked. Sell us on what makes your collection the best — and how/why it started.
4. Send us LINKS to images that we can examine or use with your item. (Bad images won’t help your case … and 900 MB attachments won’t either!)
5. Be patient. We have a group of baseball entries from awhile back to go through as well. We WILL be in touch if you are selected or we need more information.
6. Act fast … we want YOUR info NOW!

Nope... would be interesting though!

Would be bloody time consuming! I'm buggered at the thought of having to look through it!!

im not going to check what is required to be a super collector ect but at one stage i was so addicted to collecting nba that i amassed over 1.2 million cards, (wife was so shity) over 3000 au, 5000 gu a big high end collection ect. all this without running a cards shop, so not sure what you clasify as a super collector or maybe someone with an adiction

Yeah well I have all my autos and most relics (it was once up to date but I went through a really depressed stage where I couldn't be bothered scanning) scanned and in order of release somewhat... that was time consuming... Nina's bucket isn't as organised but can't blame her lol

It's all about the rare cards, if you have them and stop at no lengths to get them, you qualify. I consider myself to be one.

Haha that's just hoarding man. I couldn't fathom having that many cards. All the ones I have that I don't want is overwhelming.

On the other hand my Marbury collection was enough to be deemed a Supercollector on SCF. But, I don't even have a 1/1 of him haha My lowest numbered is to /10 and I have only 2 like that. But I do have over 930 different cards... Over 650 MJ's, 300 Kobe's, 330 Vince's, 420+ Iverson, 100+ Dwill over 200 of Shaq and KG each.... Over 2800 Chicago Cubs cards, over 1200 Minnesota Vikings.... I collect too many players/teams or something haha

I'm not sure about this either.

I would like to consider myself a Cousins Super Collector, Although I only have about 50 cards in the PC they are all Autos & Patches including 2x Totally Gold RPAs, 1x NT RPA /99, A Limited Next Day Auto, a Triple Patch #'d/2 and 21 cards Numbered /49 or Lower.

But I don't see why I shouldn't be eligible for the title of "Super Collector" because I can't be bothered with Base/Insert/GU stuff.
