anyone notice the back of the card of reto PMGs are not smooth or flat? it does have some small dots all over. some are minimal and sometimes very large dots visible on the back of the card. they came fresh from the box and it does have this back issue.
 
Thanks for posting, haven't really examined the backs too well until now :)

On the backs of mine there is very clearly an imprint of the embossed player from the front of the card (i.e., all of the 'non-metal' parts) but none of them have the dots that you mentioned. sounds to me like they are dust/air pockets between the raw card and the smooth finishing?
 
I dont know how to explain it man. I'll use a moon as an example w/ small crater on it.. that's how I described it. lol Not visible to the naked eye though. but once you examined it closely you'll see what I mean. Very minimal sometimes large and somehow caught my attention. but nevertheless it is PMG no matter what the condition is.:thumbsup:
 
Hmm, thanks for the analogy it really helped me to understand what "dots of various sizes on the back" means :thumbsup:

I mustn't be able to see them because I'm only using my 'naked-eye'. I'll have to borrow my mates Hubble and have another look at them later. From the way this thread was titled, I thought you were asking a question, not adamantly posing a statement of fact, my bad.

PS. Just trolling, I think I see what you mean now, but only 1 of mine still has it, and the stars must be perfectly aligned to be able to notice it :) Looked at them under normal house lights first time and couldn't see, so then held a LED torch to them, couldn't see. Took them out under the midday sunlight and think I could when held at the right angle.. To me, they almost look like pinholes, only without any atual holes.. that what you're referring to?

yeah it is what it is your referring to. pinholes might be the right term lol. have like 10 PMG's and 2 of them have like that. one is minimal and the other is so visible. even though it is fresh from the box. :thumbsdown:
 
Sweet :) Shame really, the front's are pretty good (besides some minor flaking around the "Metal" writing on a couple)... fuggit, I'm gonna claim that the dots add character, works for cars and other things haha!

Got more incoming, so will wait and see how they are. No biggie, stuff doesn't leave my PC so I can live with it :thumbsup:

Yeah I agree, they seemed both easier and cheaper to pick up very early on. Prices spiked a little but look to be falling a bit again now?
