Hi guys, i brought a laptop about 4 months ago and ever was running fine but for about the last 2 weeks the soundcard is playing up. It sounds like you r playing a scratched cd but it only does it like once a minute or so. I have no idea when it comes to sounds card. I've looking in the device manager and nothing is conflicting and all drivers r upto date. Any help would be great.

Is it doing it in every media playing instance on your computer ie: Media Center, Media Player, watching youtube clips, gaming etc?
Are you listening to it through speakers, have you tried it with headphones.
If you can rule out external hardware then you can narrow it to your sound card.
Does your computer have an onboard and separate sound card (unlikely for a laptop, but the gaming laptops maybe).
