Found out about this great store that sells Candy/Chocolate/Drinks from around the globe! They have about 3 stores located in Sydney and now have a site on the net. They're called Sugar Fix;http://www.sugarfix.com.au
I bought some US stuff to try out. I got me some Peanut Butter M&M's, which are pretty good! Also a "100 Grand Bar", "Hershey's Cookies & Creme", "Reese's Nutrageous", some "Hershey's Milk Duds" and a can of Root Beer! lol. Please take my advice, don't buy the root beer unless you're after that clean minty fresh "just brushed your teeth" flavour. I'm convinced they can mouth wash and label it Root Beer! Seriously! try it and you'll see, lol.
Is anyone interested in that sort of thing? or has anyone ever tried the token US food before, lol.

They have a Sugar Fix in the Westfield here. I always get a 3 Musketeers or a Butterfinger 'candy bar' and wifey loves the Hershey's Kisses.
When I was at uni, the Americans who lived in the dorm where I stayed would get 'care packages' from their families back home and I'd always try what they had to offer.

i always wondered what Root Beer was, i was told it was sarsparalla, apparently not!!

Tara will love that, she loves Tootsie Rolls & some other sort of american chocolate bar, he mum has american friends that bring them over when they visit, she will be thrilled u can get them here

I'm keen to try the Cherry Coke and also Jujyfruits and Junior Mints that they talk about on Seinfeld!!
There is some very interesting stuff on that website!!

The Juniormints arent bad at all....I found them at a Chocolate store In Sydney.
Very nice indeed!

Cheers
Matt

hmmm and I just fingered Root Beer mighta been Ginger Beer but with the dumbass American name go figure hehehe

I don't think i'd like American chocolate, I like European adn Aus chocolate too much and apparently the US sorta Smoke their chocolate if that makes any sense..... still I'd be up to trying some.... might do that one day when I have more cash!

lol i love american food, in Melbourne there is a store called USA Foods www.usafoods.com.au they have all the great peanut butter chocolates, Hershey's and so on. Id say my favorite would be a Hershey's Take 5 it has pretzels in a chocolate bar mmmm! they also have Dr Pepper, Cherry Pepsi & heaps of other crazy stuff. Also you cant forget the cinnamon chewing gum that stuff is the bomb!

lol when Dr Pepper first came out in australia the woman giving out free samples at our local shopping centre handed me a small cup of it and i spat it on her shoes when i tasted it lol...

lol dr pepper is one of those things u either love or hate most ppl who hate it say it tastes like cough syrup, personaly i cant get enough of it :P
Dr pepper and Vodka hey? ill have to try that one out!

What happened to Dr Pepper, it used to be stocked everywhere here! I found 250ml cans in a lolly shop here a few weeks ago for $2.95.....I dont think so!

I used to do promotions for a radio station....we were given slabs of Dr Pepper to giveaway.....they would have had to have been the most disliked freebie ever!! Needless to say I aquired a few leftover slabs and a bit of a liking for it...but I don't need to pay $2.70 a can just to reminisce!!;)

I loved A&W Root Beer as a child, but you couldn't get it in Australia for a while. But $2.70 is a rip off! A&W is actually a fast food joint from the US, like McDOnalds and Burger King, but is actually most famous for it's Root Beer.

When I went to the US for a holiday, I always looked for Root Beer when I had a soft drink.

Most asian stores sell the stuff, cos its very popular there, and they sell it for about $1.2 a can or about $18-20 for a case.

Has anyone ever tried Popeye's Chicken? It was in Little Nicky I think.. It's like KFC but the chicken coating is so much better and the meals come with a 'biscuit' which is basically a scone. We had it in Hong Kong airport the last couple of times we were there. It's awesome.

Another USA site! thanks Chiller.
Why do Americans drink weird stuff? the cough syrup Dr Pepper (yes, I'm a hater), and the mouth wash A&W Root Beer! lol
