Hey everyone,

With the NBA schedule released in the week just gone, we are able 90% decided we'll head over to the states in late January/February.

Sad as it may be, we'll be booking our flights around the Suns/Spurs game (my wife is a Spurs/Tony Parker fan, and I am of, course a Suns fan) on Thursday 31st January, 2008 in Phoenix, and their home stretch against Dallas, Lakers, Celtics and Detroit from 14th-24th February, 2008.

Any suggestions (other than the teams' websites), for ENSURING we can get tickets?? They don't appear to be on sale yet, and I couldn't find info about how early they go on sale. Are there any third party ticket sellers, or schemes in place to help overseas people get tickets??

sounds strange, but id actually contact the team - from what Ive heard, the are quite accomodating when you ring and say Im travelling all this way to see you guys

From memory, they're done only thru ticketmaster and they're not released that far in advance... Last year I had the same dilemma with games in November... They've just released the schedule this week so I'd be surprised if they weren't out soon.

You also can't have the tickets sent I dont think, the only option is 'Will Call' which just means u show up and get them from the ticket office that day - works a treat

When I went in 2003, the travekl agency did everything for me. Flights, accommodation, any tickets to events I wanted to see- they did the lot. Might be worth asking.

When I went to Atlanta last year I bought them through the teams website. For international sales you have to "Will-Call" which is pick them up from the ticket box at the arena on the day of the game. Make sure you have your ID, credit card and a print out of your receipt.

Let me know if you need any more info.

Cheers
Rick

I got a ticket for an LA game through the internet from Australia (will-calling the ticket at the stadium, an easy task with your photo ID), and one for a Chicago match over the internet again while in the states, using StubHub. For the later, I had to pick up the tickets from a hotel in the city, not from the United Center, which was a scary but a good thing in the end: I had no idea how to actually get to the United Center, luckily a couple of dudes who were also picking up tickets at the same time gave me a lift to the stadium.

The difficulty is getting the good/high-end tickets. I would suggest calling the team directly. I agree they are most accommodating aussies to their games.

Hope this helps!
