Hey Everyone,

Just wondering which members have been to the US for a holiday before?!

Would be interesting to see how you enjoyed the trip and if you have any tips for future travelers (like my family :) ).

My family will most likely be going during the middle of the year and visiting LA, NY & maybe Vegas for a total of about 2 months! :D

If anybody has been to the above places it would be cool to here about hobby shop experiences! :)

Also, would be sweet to know about any NBA game(s) you went to!

Cheers,
Whitey

you're going to struggle for NBA games in the middle of the year may/June (playoffs finals) and July/August (No NBA)

One helpful tip for New York is book all of your tickets for the usual attractions, eg, Empire State Building, Rockerfeller centre ( gives awesome views of the Empire State Building) online before you go. Will save you lining up for up to two hours.

Why not go to Chicago and Boston as well, both are really nice cities to visit.

awesome you'll love it... ive done all of those cites b4 in nov 2012

saw game celtics @ brooklyn... amazing new stadium, and caught the subway to get there which is literally out the front door and station right underneath barclays centre
also saw college ball at madison square garden in new york, had floor seats approx $100 each, but no knicks game unfortunately, these would be more than 10 times that

have a blast

You must get to Madison square garden, I was lucky enough to see LeBron when playing for the cavs against New York and the atmosphere is electric.
Some other things to do in New York
Catch the subway to Brooklyn then walk back over the Brooklyn bridge
Go the grand central station, the place is just amazing
Catch an ice hockey game
Check out ground zero
Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island
Times Square
Catch the subway

As mentioned above Madison Square Garden is incredible so try see a game there.
Also make sure to checkout stubhub.com before buying tickets to a game/match (people list tickets there that they are unable to use for whatever reason, long story short, some awesome seats for up to 75% off RRP).
Thats where I got some awsum tickets for Denver v Knicks in 2010.

You will have a blast
