Got a drama with the laptop. Its Toshiba Satellite Pro L850. I'm getting the error of "plugged in, not charging". Now I have tried all steps I could find on the net.

*Disconnect/reconnect battery battery
*Disconnect battery, hold power button whilst off
*Uninstall ACPI thingy in the Device manager
*New battery
*Tried 3 different chargers

Out of ideas now, but the strangest part is it will recharge once its cooled down and switched off over night and will recharge if the battery is still relatively full (above 60% from what I can gather). However after it warms up and without the AC, squat... No charge. S&%$ me to tears...
 
Yep updates are on automatic and this is a brand new battery.

In Newcastle. Its a work pc, but since my office is in Sydney and I only visit once a month (which is 3 weeks away) I wont be spending my own money on it. Just an inconvenience really!

not just windows updates but also ensure that all the hardware is up to date. My laptop is a Lenovo and has a program called Lenovo updater which updates all the components.
 
i had similar issue with toshiba a while back. and the issue was actually the charger itself. i replaced the charger and it worked. hopefully the solution is just as easy for you

Tried 3 different chargers as well out many different outlets...

Not sure what an personal collection expert would be?? Though, being an Eagle's supporter, I can understand your confusion ;).
 
You might want to duck into your local officeworks and invest in a belkin laptop cooler. The basic ones cost about $30 the more deluxe ones about $50 or so.
