Any OZCT Case Share In Sight ?

2008 Centenary, 2005 Power, 2009 Classic, or 2012 Dynasty. But any decent release I will participate in....

Also if at a reasanably low price 2013 or 2014 Traders. Not my favourite but just for a chance to hit a Legend. but I don't think these would be popular.

Count me in if 2005 Power or 2009 Classic
Still need 2009 Premiership Predictors Storm and Broncos to redeem a full set.
Still need plenty of 2005 Inspirations and the elusive Raiders Premiership Predictor.

The thing with Select cases, second series is simply risk!

Classic. 16 boxes. Over $200 each. For a 1/16 chance at a cap signature? That's a huge amount to fork out for that ratio.

The elite 2014, 130 a box. Guaranteed box hit. Might be a crappy $60 young gun. Or a $280 cam smith.

For me. I can't get enough of 2014 elite. You can nearly buy two cases for the price of one select case. And prices are plummeting. Footy cards are losing value, as people lose interest.

I'm all for the live two box breaks, buy one spot for $20. If you win, it only cost $20. If you lose, you only lose $20. Has OZCARD considered these? It's been a little flat here lately. :(

I come here at least 3 times a day. Sometimes for only one reply to one post..... It used to be flooded with people!

It has been a bit flat on here lately, I think some of that has to do with it being off season but the hobby itself seems to be on the slide.

I agree that there is more risk to a Select case share but the box hits seem to hold their value a bit better and the thrill of the chase for the case hit or even a 1:6 box hit like a Black LL is great.

I really enjoyed elite but I would like to see a 1:6 box or 1 per case option in the next release.

To be honest if I was given a choice of a Select series 2 case share or an elite case share at the moment I would go for Select despite the higher cost and bigger risk.

My opinion why it has been flat is the chase and kill has been to easy when buying boxes nearly everybody gets a hit of something. This takes away the thrill of it all and loss of interest. It was harder to hit an high end card a few yrs back. People tended to keep hold of them as it was certain to attain its collectability. Now there is dime a dozen

As in life itself, you would have to agree with the bigger the gamble the bigger the payout if you win.

I too really enjoy the Select 2nd series releases and miss the rarity of the 1 per case hit.

I think a generation on has hurt the value of some of the other hits in a Select box. Cards like a Tim Smith or Brett Seymour Future Force were huge on release, but are now not worth much at all due to their careers taking a dive or younger fans not even knowing who they were. This will happen with Elite etc too

What I'm worried about is how ESP is flooding the market with cards. It will devalue the hobby overall in a short space of time and will make it very hard to move collections on if you decide to sell up imho.

ESP releases will make select releases more valuable, in time.

I like that I can get a set of 16 LS for under 2k. Instead of 4 Signature redemptions for 2k.

I'm over select. And their expensive crap. The older I get, the more I realise, it's so easy to waste money. Yeah I love my Thurston Cap sig. But I can have about 10 LS For that one card.

The problem is having ten LS cards is that everybody else can have them too. Meaning that collectability is at an all time low. You would be better having 2 or more JT sig captains. Never say never that you may sell one of your captains sigs one day. Wishing you had another 10 of them, when you fall of the chair in front of your computer when you see what you have sold it at auction in yrs to come.:kick:

Why do you think esp release will make select more valuable? I'm thinking more inclined to go the other way. So interested to here why you think that.

I know there are other factors that play out but if a card limited to 130 is selling for under $100 it makes it hard to justify paying that much or more for ones limited 250 or so.

Don't get me wrong i like the idea that its alot cheaper to get multiple sigs like you mentioned, just not sure it has a positive impact on overall value of collections, granted i'm not majorly concerned by that as the $ is not what I am collecting for its, the enjoyment of the collection, plus the thrill of the chase and the connections you make with likeminded people who share the passion.

I think what Mirren meant was that SELECT is more limited in high end cards than ESP. Which will make them harder to find. Harder they are to find more desirable to collect.

Yeah what he said!.... >>>> also... I got a league sensation for $40 the other day. $40! The price is TOO CHEAP. Its a flooded market, like dynamic.

I'm not collecting to sell. I'm collecting for my unborn son/daughter!
