I recently won a Antique Brooch lot as my wife took a shine to one of them and I decided to get it for her for Mothers Day. It required some repairs and they don't come cheap so I have decided to fund the repairs by selling one of the other brooches that needs no work......not even a clean!
Mothers day is coming up so why not get your missus an Antique!
This 15kt gold brooch is from the late 19th century (Victorian Era) and is STUNNING!
It is hallmarked 15kt and contains seed pearls (13) and rubies (4)

If I got this valued for insurance purposes I would say it would come back at between $1000 and $1500 simply because the amount of work that would be required to reproduce such a stunning brooch. I have had this checked out by a Antique Jeweller and he dated between 1890 and 1900 which is similar to the dates other brooches like this are dated at.
This would be not just an investment in GOLD but also an investment in Antique Australian Jewellery!
