Recently won a #/25 patch auto on ebay for my pc, It was from a 2600+ feedback seller and looked really nice so I was stoked to win it.

I payed my US$6.00 airmail. It arrives today in a white envelope with a 63c stamp on it
To make things worse, the seller has removed the card from the nice holder seen in the auction. It was placed in a penny sleeve, put in a team bag with a single thin toploader on one side of the card and nothing protecting the back. Then mailed in a white envelope. The card never stood a chance and i have emailed the seller and asked for a refund. included the pics too.

said that I would leave +ive feedback when the refund is received. I'm sick of being ripped on postage, especially when the cards show up like this

Man that sucks! How the hell can people ruin beautiful looking cards like that, by not giving them the protection they need! I got a patch that recently was described in the auction as "mint condition" and turns up with chipping all over the border, and it just looked terrible. So I kinda know how you feel, I suppose everyone does in a way.

Hopefully they get the punishment they deserve!

Oh man, that sucks Just.

GL with the seller. Did you fork a bit out for it? I'd be demanding a full refund, and send the f-cking thing back. Contact PayPal so you can satisfy their requirements for proof of return postage.

Thanks guys. It's good to know others understand and can sympathise even though the card will never be fixed. I was burnt with two Bogut autos already this year with very similar scenarios and see it happening to others all too often. I will let you know the response/s and outcome of this deal gone bad.

that always burns me when people do stupid shit like that, but especially coming from someone who should know better, with that much + feedback

i guess look on the bright side...imagine how pissed youd be if it was the bird that turned up like that

Cheers Richo.

lol Yeah I thought the same thing already. Both packages arrived today and the difference in packing was very different. Just a little more effort by the Redd seller was required

i had the exact same thing happen to me with the same seller.

my card was a latrell sprewell 04-05 topps finest superfractor #1/1,it was bent basically in half. he told me it was not his fault and for me to blame the australian postal service.
i filed for a full refund through paypal and eventually won my money back.

in his paypal defence he used that he was "a good christian seller" and would not purposely send a card that was damaged.

anyway good luck mate, you are in for a long battle as he drags the disputes out as long as they can go

what on earth are retards like these even doing dealing with trading cards.

from now on all decoys should include instructions on how to properly protect cards for trading/selling via mail services!!!

I've been very lucky this week, i have had 3 different parcels sent this week in plain envelops and none of the cards have been damaged thank god. But it also doesnt help that its been pooring rain all week here, i guess its been lucky i have been home when the mailman has come so they havent gotten wet.

Thanks for the info Spree Fan.

This is the reply I received....

After my two lengthy emails including pictures this reply I got back was hardly convincing. It was sent unattached from the original emails and he never stated many details, eg how much he would refund. Even if I fork out and pay for registered post and send the card back he could still play silly buggers. It pisses me off more that he is at fault and seems to think it ok to charge US$6 and then send the item unprotected in a 63c white envelope.

I replied and have asked for him to refund the money first before I send the card back.

whoops forgot to update this. #-o

Good news is I got my refund back last week and have posted the card back. Received it within a day or two of opening a paypal dispute and pleading my case there. :) I don't think the seller wanted paypal to deal with it seeing that I complained about being mislead and being charged to pay 10 times the actual mail cost. Good work Justin,

Hate those 63c sellers

I won a dispute the other day over a guy who charged $12 on a 63c envelope

just thought id add my white envelope rant for a card i recieved today.

first of all the seller quoted me $12US for shipping, obviously hoping i was an ignorant newbie who would pay that price. so i tell him it should be a lot lower, to which hes like "oh yeah sorry, i must have read the postage price for austria instead of australia, thats $4 for postage thanks." uh-huh.

so i paid it and got the card in today, and was very pissed off to see the card arrive in a white envelope with one of those flimsy ass plastic 'card protectors' as its only protection. no penny sleeve either. by some miracle the card was undamaged, but it still pissed me right off.

so if you buy from ebay seller 'brazilisthebomb' be wary and make sure you tell the bastard to pack it properly.

btw, what FB should i leave? horrible packaging plus he tried to gip me on postage, but the card arrived fine and fairly promptly too...perhaps a neutral is in order???
