Hey what do you think about the Padres signing Prior? Not bad for a number 5. They didn't really make any other big moves during the Hot Stove.

yeah not a bad signing i spose. their best move was signing Iguchi from the white sox. the only other two "big" signings were Edmonds and Prior, and both are arguably past their best. But Prior apparently showed some promise before he got injured. Who knows. He will be sitting pretty behind Peavy, Young and Maddux, so if he can get 8 or 10 wins, hopefully we can take the division without a playoff! But that said, Arizona had some good signings, so I think again this year the NL West will be a close one
