My advice to all is to purchase registered post and pay with paypal if possible. I have made over 5,000 transaction via ebay over the past 5 to 6 years and have only ever encountered two or three issues in that time. As a seller I have always maintained the customer is right and made a refund or replacement if a postal issue has occured. I am a strong believer in the pay it forward theory. Just make sure you do the right thing by others and they should do the right thing by you. If not cut your losses, move on and only deal with those that do. I have always found ebay a great platform to deal through and I think it gets a little hard a wrap from some people, although the fees are a killer!!!
I have sold only 66 ebay items. Usually when i buy, receive cards in white envelope, sometimes wait 2 to three weeks and still leave pos fdbck.
When i sell, post in top loader, seal top with electrical tape, cover both sides with strong cardboard and wrap up with more electrical tape and insert into bubble mailer. By this time i usually thank for purchase, wait 5 days to remind buyer to pay for the "buy now" item. Pm postage done. 2 or occassinally three days if bank deposit.....and one dude gives a rating of 3 out of 5 on multiple items giving me a average of 4.8 to 4.5... not a fan of Ozcarder i suspect... or i may have to cut back on the duct tape wrestle.
I think i may have gotten cards off you cause i had a few that i had to wrestle with lol. But i have learnt off others that is the way to send cards now.
Your kidding right Steve? Your girlfriend left the feedback because the book was that bad? Do you for even one second have any idea how much time it takes to type out every single name from a set of cards?
You should do the right thing and take back the neg feedback...bro
Dan , bro you know that was me and i said to you from the start that i was not happy with your book because it has almost every signature card missing from the Dynamic early days in which was the only reason why i brought this book in the first place!!!!.... I ended up keeping the book because it was going to be a waste of time and money sending it back as it was fairly cheap to buy in the first place.... Then after 4 weeks i did not leave you negative feedback because i wanted to keep the peice between us , but my girlfriend had known what had happened and one night she was online and she left that feedback because even she was pissed off with your book , not me bro.... I could not then reverse this unless you contacted Ebay in which they can then take it off if both parties have agreed to this , in which i told you in a email.... So dont feed everyone crap about me leaving you bad feedback as you knew that after it was left all you had to do was contact Ebay and i would have said yes to reversing it for you , Steve

That is what he is saying Owen he can't initiate it. You as the seller have to initiate this process, if you don't there is nothing he can do about it.

I offered you a refund, what else do you want. You don't like the book big deal. Thats your opinion and thats all it is thats why it isn't important to me because you are insignificant to me.
The book wasn't about the dynamic early days signature cards it was a comprehensive guide which it is.
I have recived numerous emails from collectors who know a lot more than me about card sets I have missed in the book over the years and mind you these emails were polite.
I am not feeding people crap, you did leave me bad feedback, along with a number of crappy emails. Why should I have to contact ebay to reverse it, I have better things to do with my time.

You see Dan this is where I have to disagree, it was not a comprehensive guide as stuff was missing. My personal view is that if you are going to do something then do your research and do it the right way the first time. I think you could have made a couple of books out of this, scanlens / stimorol then regina and dynamic then concentrated on the select stuff.
Thanks guys for the constructive comments. It feels like such a long time ago when I finished that book.
It was quite a big effort and a financial risk. It isn't cheap to print 1,000 books. There is a whole lot of things you learn along the way. I knew it wasn't perfect and there would be numerous people out there who would have prefered things done another way. It got to a point where I could have pottered around for another year madly adding other cards I am sure there would still be sets or cards missing and some people wouldn't be happy.
I did my best under the circumstances and would love to write another one but simply don't have the time.
Tak I knew things were missing thats why I called it comprehensive not complete. I could have probably made a few books for different companies or decades but thats not what I wanted to do. Writing one book is not finacially viable, imagine 4 books at a loss, starts to get expensive.
Anyway the goal was to give an overview of all of the card sets produced over the 100 years of australian rugby league. I think this was done
Dan , like i said i dont think that your book is that bad but the only reason i wanted to buy it was so that i could get a total run down on all the cards that had been produced from 1994 to the end of 1996.... This is the main collection i have with signature cards and so on.... And yes my girlfriend did leave the bad feedback while i was not at home in which after this was left i did contact you [ DAN ] and i said that i was sorry that this had been done and we could reverse this if both of us acted quickly.... If i could remove it for you now i would , and that is the honest truth but i think its way to late now????.... Anyway i hope this is understood by everyone on this forum now in what had really happened.... Steve.... PS Dan i have sent to you a PM....
Your last line in your response "Anyway the goal was to give an overview of all of the card sets produced over the 100 years of australian rugby league. I think this was done" says it all
