My pursuit has ended well! I found this online through a Queensland memorabilia dealer who I will give a shameless plug because they were so great: Melal Memorabilia (eBay) or Melal Memorabilia (Store).
I decided to get my hands on a Tiger signature because if he keeps winning at his current rate, I will be priced out of the market sooner rather than later. I actually think he is a good chance of doing the Slam this year too!
Nonetheless, it is a sexy UD Authenticated piece with hologram sticker and certificate. It features Tiger's personal signature and a Nike "TW1" numbered Tiger golf ball that he has actually hit at the driving range! There is even some dirt and scuff marks on the ball which pops out of the frame in a cool 3-D effect. VERY HAPPY!!
Well, I saw it on their website for $1499, however I then saw it listed on their eBay store with a BIN of $999. Needless to say I used eBay, paid about $50 for insurance and a courier and arrived at a grand total of $1049, which I think is excellent considering:
1) These same items are going for US$1500+ overseas and
2) It's tough to find a signed/framed Tiger photo in Australia for less than $2k
As for your other question, the print has a UD hologram sticker which is numbered, however I think it is more for unique authentication rather than limited edition numbering.
I should also add that I have been shopping around for signed Tiger cards. The absolute cheapest you can get one for is $450 or thereabouts, so I figured I may as well pay double that and get the range-used ball, frame, something 10 times as big and something I can hang on my wall instead of sticking in an album/box!
That is one awesome piece! I have been reading Tiger's results in every tournament he played for probably the last 10 years (Well since his Rookie year ) and I really admire his skills, focus and self belief!
