Am I a one eyed 36ers fan, or is that the worst refing ever?

I was suprised to see Beal get the MVP for this years NBL finals series.

Don't get me wrong he played great, but I thought the refs would of got the nod.

WORST UNPIRING EVER!!! Even Carfino in game 2 was talking about how bad the calls were in game 1.

Did the unpires cost Adelaide the game??? Hard to say that when they got beaten by so much, but when you are down 5 get 3 bad calls and suddenly it is 11, then a couple more and it is 15. The scoreboard pressure kills you.

Don't get me wrong Perth are awesome and the 6ers came from last place last season. I am proud of the 36ers and think Perth are a great team. But I think the refs wrecked this series.

And just quietly Redhage should be playing soccer. worst diving I have ever seen in the NBL, then again when the umpires are stupid enough to call them...

The refs are supposed to warn players for flopping and the next time they do it, it is a tech foul. The trouble is, it is up to the refs to interpret what is a flop and what isn't.

yer i said the same thing about half these nbl refs... i can say with confidence that there are heaps of refs at domestic levels that have a better eye/judgement on the game. Being able to ref in professional sports comes down to who your dad is/was or who you know and not particularly on your skill. Anyone can ref a game but not many can ref it as it is.

Try being a Breakers fan. At the start of the year it was like they were gonna prove a point that the league was too physical, so the Breakers aren't winning.

Lol are you for real?

the proof is in the replays and tim donoughy book hehe
Don't know how you can compare domestic referees to those at National or FIBA level and being able to call the game better. I mean, I have a license, that doesn't mean I can now be a professional race car driver. I'm not even going to get started on the comment about who your parents were for officials.

Also, the NBL is very different to the US System in no way could you ever compare them.

You are definitely just a mad one eyed 36ers fan mate!

There are/were a lot of things wrong with the series:

Carfino was a blatant self confessed 36ers homer in game 2, so you can't take what he says seriously.
Both teams were blatantly cheating throughout every game in my opinion. Redhage was flopping, Gibson was flopping. A ridiculous amount of holding and intentional fouling in the low block etc etc. If you play that style of game and force the refs to make calls, you are never going to think the game is "fair".

Adelaide were just rubbish yesterday. DJ was only really a factor for about 3 minutes in the game. Ervin decided to stop penetrating which was his strength in G2. Schenscher couldn't hit a layup and by missing put backs, he caused the rebounding stats to look like Adelaide was dominating! lol

Like I said earlier, I don't think I necessarily have a problem with these particular refs. I have a problem with the state of the game in the NBL. They need to stop allowing the whole jamming your feet/legs out in front of a moving player. Need to keep contact levels consistent no matter where they are on the court and they need to protect the offensive player while the are in the open court. They want highlight reel dunks, but when someone like Ennis is risking injury from some guy diving in front of him at full pelt, he won't keep doing it!
