As a heads up for the proposed album split, the cards are p**s easy to remove, as mentioned elsewhere the action shot card and sig card are in separate penny sleeves, stuck to each page.
It is a beautifully presented item - I got number 17. Whoever gets No. 14 is going to be a lucky bugger, didn't know until yesterday that Bob Skilton signs "14" after his sig!
The only flaw of any description is a scratch on the signature of Ken Fraser (in the "ser" bit of his surname) but all others are completely faultless, and in any case I have had draft pick autos with scratches too.
In all I am absolutely delighted, so now for your viewing pleasure....
Oh, and a final point - growing up (and moreso now), John Kennedy Snr and Bob Davis are not just footy heroes to me, but life heroes as well
Wow Matty, way to go! Great stuff mate, there are some legendary names in this set, great pickup!
I know for a fact that Lou Richards was very difficult in getting to sign for this set....he asked for far more money than any of the others and flatly refused to sign any extra spare cards. As a result, all players in the set received a complimentary framed signed set EXCEPT for Lou Richards. All the cards in the player's framed sets have the Lou Richards card unsigned. Very disappointing to hear.....but after all he did play for Collingwood, so I'm hardly surprised
With Lou Richards being 88 and in a nursing home, and being a true icon of the game for so long, if he wants to ask for more money and call the shots, fair play to him.
select have a vicious way about them if they don't get what they want,
although i don't think that story to be true, that they didn't send lou a gift set.
if you remember there was a time daicos & bartlett wouldn't sign cards 'cos select wanted them to do it for peanuts, select actually printed on their checklist!! daicos/bartlett "refused to sign"
since then bartlett has done sigs for select but you can't wipe out all the checklists that said he wouldn't.
that's how they are, select, vicious.
they seem to think they have a right to call the shots, they can't comprehend that they are in a position of priveledge.
Thanks for the comments one and all, they are appreciated!
To be completely honest, the only reason I bought the set (with due respect to the other 6 players) was to get the sigs of John Kennedy Snr, Neville Crowe, Bob Skilton, Lou Richards, Charlie Sutton and Bob Davis. In a round-about away it has cost $333.33 per sig for those blokes.
If anyone is interested, I have Sergio Silvagni, Hassa Mann and Alan Aylett for sale....I have never been a "set" collector as such, only ever chased the players I Like. Sorry mods if I should have my "for sale" bit in the appropraite section.....may I claim temporary insanity?

I don't think Brad meant Lou didn't get a gift....I think he meant all the players got a signed set each but the set did not have a signed Lou Richards card that's all! That right Brad?
An unreal set mate! I do think you should keep it intact, a real beauty.
A little side note, a tad dissapointing that the cards are not lined up perfectly straight in the album, the amount the set costs, you would think some greater attention to detail could be had by Select.
Coming from an Asian family and only developing a passion for AFL in primary school the players of yester-year don't interest me much which is why I only collect cards after 2001, plus I don't like the designs before then too but that's a different story.
But WOW after getting the email and seeing the previews on Facebook and Twitter I was in love with this set and now seeing these scans they looks marvelous!!!
Please don't split such a brilliant set, it'll appreciate in value over time and if split it won't be worth as much.
Don't like the fact they aren't lined up or is this to show us that they're easy to remove. I would've semi-permanently fixed the cards to the pages, not like anyone would want to pick up such delicates.
In terms of the Richards-Select dispute as ironic and punny this sounds I think that the players "hold all the cards" in this situation, without their ink Select won't have signature cards to sell and it's these cards which help bring in the big bucks for them so give the players some respect and give them what they want.
FINALLY...I LOVE THAT CARL DITTERICH CARD!!! If he didn't play for Melbourne as well it'd be a perfect card.
