Hey, guys. I admit I know bugger-all about AFL, but looking at the betting I was thinking of putting on a few AFL/NRL doubles for the premierships. So I was wondering if Geelong (I think thats the team... lol!) are unbeatable, or do you think it could go either way? Coz I got money on the Warriors early, but am also thinking of putting a bit on the Storm. But at $2.15 or whatever it is, to win anything I have to put up a bit, which led me to the AFL/NRL double option. Any imput would be appreciated...
I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a big win by Geelong...but I expect it to be a quite close game for most of the day. Certainly will not be a 20 goal drubbing, if I had to put a margin on it I'd say Geelong by 5-6 goals.
I've been calling Geelong to win the flag by 10+ goals since round 20! The Hawks will put up a fight but wouldn't be suprised if Buddy and Hodge actually have little effect given their injuries and Geelong's pressure on the big stage day simply cave the Hawks in.
geelong will be favorites and rightly so, but hawthorn are not one to die wondering, they will have a fair crack, what a game its gonna be, i cant wait. but if i had to put money on one of them it would be geelong by 15-20.
Whatever you do ! dont invest in the stock market....
I always found the stock exchange a joke.... Wealthy people finding another way to screw the workers out of more $$$
How are you going to make money once a company goes public and even more people want a share of the Profits....
A bit like gambling.... some people win (without inside knowledge of course LOL) but
MOST end up loosing out !
Telstra is a perfect example of that !!!
I am sure members can name a few more !
A bit like some real estate/car sales people out there... They will value your car at $1 and sell for $3
and for houses they say its worth $500k to get you to sell with them and then it usually goes for alot less
Go the HAWKS.... they are a game breaking team.... it will be like last years GF... A BLOWOUT to whoever wins

So Geelong should win, but possible a close game? I might put $50 or so on a Storm/Geelong win, coz I already go $50 on the Warriors at $13. So either way I should get a payout. I can't see Cronulla winning with only Kimmorley to steer them around, and I think Storm should also have Manly's measure. A Storm/Warriors rematch in the final would be a cracker of a game (especially for me money-wise.)
Sounds like it might be a good game. The last time I sat through a whole game was when Brisbane last won the comp, and that was mainly my mate's promise of all I could drink beer. But I do like watching some of the marks and hits. I suppose Aker's team's already out? He's one player I like watching, and Barry Hall! hehe So it's on Saturday or Sunday?

Sounds like a goer...hopefully Storm come up with or without Captain Smith and I think Geelong will go back-to-back. Either way, I reckon you'd be happy with a Warriors NRL GF win!
I'm going to the game and can't wait. Hawks will lead early, Tight in the middle stages, Geelong to finish very strong in what could turn out to be a blowout. I think Geelong by 8+ goals, but the game itself will be much closer than the margain.
Well I ended up putting $60 on a Storm/Geelong doublr at $3.42, returning $205 if it comes in, and $20 on a Warriors/Geelong double at $10.15, returning with a similar return. So, go Geelong in the AFL!!!
GF may be a formality, but I am still driving 10 hours back to Vic where ppl actually appreciate sport!!! Now I live in NSW all I can say is THANK GOD for VICS and their love of sport!!
As for who wins Saturday, the only sure bet is beer. Beer will beat me over and over again until I cannot be beaten anymore!! lol.
Hope everyone enjoys the best weekend of the year!!
