I have never been in this situation, so thought I would ask you guys advice.
I bought this item for my new little nephew. It arrived a couple of weeks later and it had postage of $6.07 on the label and was sent in a cheap plastic envelope, no bubble wrap, no cardboard, nothing. Needless to say, the box it comes in was crushed to hell and given it was bought as a gift, it was quite disappointing.
I asked for a refund on the difference in postage ($4) and $2 refund on the item, because it should have been packaged better. The seller said no because it also costs her ebay fees and paypal fees and a trip to the post office, so I put in a paypal claim. For whatever reason, my claim was denied by paypal within 24 hours!
We then haggled and I reluctantly accepted an offer of $3.50 refund. The next morning I get an email saying paypal wouldn't let her part refund the item, so she mailed me the refund.
Sure enough, today I get $5 US cash in the mail Now what the hell am I gonna do with that?!?! Last time I exchanged cash, there was something like a $7 fee, so obviously I am not gonna do that.
So, positive, neutral or negative?
Cheers guys
