Advice on a US NBA trip in Feb

Hey guys,

I know a number of members here have done trips to the US, I was wondering if anyone has been in February/March? which is when I'm looking at going, to LA, Vegas and NYC.
NYC is is meant to be very cold then abit warmer in March. Has anyone been? would all the normal sightseeing be enjoyable when it is cold? I'll be looking to go to afew Knicks games and across the bridge to Brooklyn, also how long did you stay? I'm think 7 or 8 nights. I know LA is quite warm all year around and will definitely see the Lakers and Clippers play. Also what is the best way to get tickets? buy them once you are there? I've heard people use craigslist.. how does that work? you go and pick up the tickets from them?

Any Advice or links would be appreciated

Hey mate, I went in April, the weather was mild but ny was actually a bit warmer then LA at the time, we were told by a limo driver that at that time the year before, Ny was still covered in snow. Hope that helps.
 
As for tickets we used stubhub, we bought some before we left and also bought some more at Internet cafes
