Several months back I purchased a low number card that included Dante Exum of off another forum from a member based in France.

I paid for the card and he sent a tracking number and after checking the tracking number a week later it said that the card had been delivered to....Belgium.

I asked what was going on and the other party said they would investigate. After hearing nothing for a week I sent a pm to be told that French Post were still looking into it and if nothing then he would refund my money. The next day I had the refund.

At the same time as getting the refund @newstart had his mega case breaking session and pulled two Dante Exum cards I needed so I decided to purchase the following.

Now this is where the story gets good, at least for me.

When these cards arrived in my Post Office Box there was also a parcel from France, and yes it was the card that I thought had gone missing.

I am so glad it showed up being so low numbered #3/5

Needless to say I did the right thing and made payment for the card that we both thought had been lost.

Crazy eights and a crazy story to go with it! Glad to finally hear a good hobby news story too! Noob question but that golds are out of /10 right? ..and they're obviously not duplicates, what do they call the variation, mirror finish?

Great story Garth!

Still can't believe Panini used the exact photo on a different angle and have it passed off as two different cards!

No difference in the finish on each card, just a different photo

Yes they are numbered to 10
