G'day guys, was hiding some xmas presents from the kids last night when I came across this beauty. I recieved it from my wife for my 21st. (Ball is from year I was born).

It is a game ball from the 1st test Aus vs Great Britain Lions @ SCG 9th June 1984.

It is signed by both the Australian squad and entire Lions touring squad.

It has a COA from then secretary Mr. Bob Abbott.

I have a few details on the game.

Score was Australia 25- Lewis, Price, Boustead & Murray Tries, Conlon 4 Goals, Lewis FG defeated
GB Lions 8 Schofields Try, Burke 2 Goals.

Line ups for the game:
Australia- Jack, Boustead,Miles, Kenny, Conlon, Lewis (c), Murray, Brown, Conescu, Dowling, Pearce, Neibling, Price, res- Young.

GB Lions- Bourke, Drummond, Schofield, Mumby, Hanley, Foy, Holding, Crooks, Noble(c), Goodway, Burton, Worrall, Adams res Lydon, Hobbs

I have been trying to find a game day program for ages but with no luck,

I would love to keep it on display, but due to the age etc of the ball it needs to be kept out of light. There is still some dirt in the stitching. I would have to say it is by far the greatest piece in my collection.

Thanks for looking.

I remember you telling me about this. Nice to finally visualise it. Looks like it needs some air to stretch out some of the wrinkles in the leather

Great piece of memorabillia.....on a side note: Ross Conlon was he the worst footballer ever to play for his country?

Thanks for sharing.

Ross

It stays in a custom built box, no one touches it. It gets brought out once in a blue moon. I would love to have it on display but it's far to valuable to me to risk it.
