I think I might have been 11 years old when I got my first ever pack of basketball cards. It was 1993-94 Upper Deck series two. They were beautiful! I had no idea what was what but one card stood out (possibly because of my favourite colours - blue and white). It was a guy hanging onto the rim, and looked awesome -
Even better when I later found out it was valued at $5!
So I developed a bit of a love for both Upper Deck and the Orlando Magic...
While I've never owned that card again, I now own something a whole lot cooler (and bigger)...

- worn during the 1993-94 season -
Plus the shorts! And they're very big, kinda heavy and got a fair bit of discolouration due to sweat:

I'm absolutely delighted to own this bad boy and smile every time I look at it. A true piece to keep for my collection
1993-1994 Upper Deck was probably the set I first got a pack of NBA cards from too, although the corner store in my tiny town sold packs of 1990-1991 Hoops for 50c a pack when I was 10. What a deal!
That is a great purchase Graeme; I'm surprised it's not more 'sweaty' as Shaq has a rep for sweating a lot.
Wow nice pick up mate, complete with sweat stains..
That was also the first trading card set I started collecting, will never forget my Dad coming home with a box each for me and my brother. Best thing my Dad ever bought me actually
We used to pick up packs on the weekend at basketball, the stadium had a vending machine full of various basketball packs. Was amazing now I think about it, where are they at nowadays.
That is what you would call some collassssol drawers! Thats a big sweatty dude!! hahaha. That was actually the first box of basketball cards I bought. I bought some Wal-mart Jumbo packs and I got some 3-D standouts Holograms and my friend and I split a box of series 2 and got some Rookie Standouts and I got the Penny. Great stuff! That was actually also when I started to really like Zo because he was such a big rival to shaq and everybody loved shaq. Nice work!
So before you bring down Ebay, your usin 'em first ay ?
My eyes got pretty wide when I clicked to see what It was ... DAMN man, TRUELY historic. That's a huge piece of sports / basketball history. Shaq was the most dominant big man of our time ... He's right In line with Wilt, Russell, Kareem, (also Olajuwon). I still say, CERTAIN players will never be forgotten. Jordan, Wilt, Kobe, Shaq as well. An amazing part of your collection. Totally worth the bread you spent ! ... There's a part 2 for this mailday ?

My account is suspended and My Ebay is blocked. I'm also 'not a registered user' anymore. But I had a friend or two that can get me something if I really need it. And I needed this (in my eyes)
Part 2 is hopefully coming by the end of the week. But I haven't received a tracking number so I'm not sure of the progress.....
Awesome! Just one question - how do you plan on displaying that exactly? Reminds me of a song - sweat from my...... well, never mind. Grey Flannel has some really cool stuff!
Great pick up!!, love the shaq base too!! that was the series I bought when first collecting, must have been when bball was at the peak of popularity in Australia
