A first glance at my Magic/Bird PC

When I visited New York, I was lucky enough to watch the theatre play "Magic/Bird" before they cancelled it.

I was fascinated by the story of these 2 players - their rivalry on the court and their friendship of the court.

So I decided to start a collection of Magic Johnson and Larry Bird.

2 months later this is what my PC looks like:

Very good. The red, white and blue Dream Team uniforms is something people try to do but it isn't easy finding the red and blue so for you to do that with two players is rare.

I am one of those people. Magic and Bird were the only 2 I could complete. Not sure, if the other players have all 3 color versions out there.

Great idea for a PC - if you collect one player then you can appreciate the other. Like the matching sets too, your Bird PC might be better than mine already! :-S

That is absolutely amazing! Am very jealous, have always wanted to start a Bird PC as well but yet to get around to it. You, on the other hand, amassed so many sweet cards in just two months! Kudos

I actually already a few of these cards before, due to the sets that I'm collecting (Dream Team Threads, Artifacts).

But a lot of beautiful cards (Top 3, Booklet Patch, Bird AU /10, Magic Etched 1/1, Magic Plate, Magic Sp AU) where just traded or purchased within the 2 months period. I had to let go a few other PC cards first to get some money for this project.

I'm looking to get more pairings. So if you have a card available that is only shown for one of the two and you have the other - please let me know!!!

Great PC(PCs), come a distance in just 2 months! Must have been a challenge making sure you could pick up both 1/1s in the same sets, etc.

Christian that is just brilliant - you can't really have Magic without Larry can you? Would be like Batman without the Joker!

If you haven't already read it, I can highly recommend the book "When the Game Was ours", co-written by Magic and Larry. It is a great insight into their rivalry and eventual friendship.
