I bought a pack off Gary at the March show and busted it in the car on the way home and thought it was all base. I just looked at the cards again and noticed these 2 were different. I look on the back of the pack and they are odds of 1:1500 of getting 1 . So i check beckett and AI is BV 60 and webber is 25 (i dont bust much but the AI is the biggest BV card i have pulled)

Sorry to break it to you man, but those aren't the rare version. The Game Dated cards which were 1:1500 had no markings on it, but the background to the front had a silver foil to it to distinguish it from the regular cards. Not that easy to spot, here's an example.

Thanks for the reply, these cards are foil. Was there 2 different versions produced?? Beckett only lists 1 type and only game dated cards have the date comment on the front. Does anyone know more about these?

A they numbered man. I've got a few Jordan's like that with a picture of the him holding up the fist.

No they are not numbered (beckett dosnt state numberring), are the jordans numbered (do you have scans)?

You sure those are foil Ace? The scans/pictures look like they are normal cards with a little bit of foil writing, not foil all over like that Grant Hill eBay 1. Of course, pictures can be decieveing so apologies if it's obvious!

The problem is i dont know if there were 2 versions?? I will pm Gary for his expertise (or after sales service ).

I would think there are 2 versions, a base version and a foil 1:1500 pack version.

Try this for size. See how the back is kinda distorted.. Well that is the "foil" bit.

And also the "Game Dated" ones were only something like cards 1 - 30 of the whole set. The rest never had the parallel done.

Now my cards are definitely not like that (damn that is a sweet card ) but yet they have the date comment which the regular cards dont........... now i am confused.

It'll be the non-foil insert set is my guess. No way would they have made just a foil insert set, would have to have a base card set of it too.

30 cards have a notable date on them. 2 of the 30 being the ones shown that you got. Then the parallel set only consists of those 30 cards and they have the frosted foil background. So it was not a whole set parallel like almost every other set out there.

The Jordan 'base' game dated gets listed all the time as the parallel one on ebay. But now you know what to look for. Thank god for a card forum where you can ask these finicky things. And I ended up paying 90$aus for my Jordan. Fought it out with becky52.
