Is it true AFL (and I think NRL) has preference for the earlier print runs, say 5/300, etc?

Yeah 1:72 packs ( 1 in every 2 boxes)

NRL definitely, AFL I would say less so. Although because historically Select has kept the #1s people like to try and get as low as possible
