Hey guys im not sure exactly where to post this but i was thinking a 24hr trade might be a cool idea.
Are they allowed on here?

The idea being say i have a card im interested in trading i put it up for trade and have the details of what i'd like in return (Of similar value) then i recieve offers from interested parties and the best trade offer wins.
A deal is then set up and cards are traded.

Could be a bit of fun and get some nice trades happening:thumbsup:

Sounds like an alright idea but would you trust they would send it back

Ill trade you some base for your LBJ graded chrome  joking.

Obviously the same rules would apply as selling (ie: low feedback sends first etc).
You would also have specific details about what you are after eg: Max 3 cards offered or say if you only are after a certain player then you'd have that written up etc.

If the mods/admin give it a go ahead i may put one up just to see how it goes.

Thanks for moving the thread to the appropriate forum who ever it was ;)

Yeah mate it could be a little fun to add to the trading experience as i've found trades can become a little stressfull at times so this maybe a way to make trading more enjoyable all round

cuz187 - not sure what you are talking about I think you have missed Verse's idea.

Many of us would know about these, they are happening on HK already, seems to be with quite strict rules. (here- HobbyKings.com :: Log in)

The easy version -
I offer a card for trade at the end of the 24hrs I MUST accept the best offer that has been given, there are no caveats and no backouts. As the seller/offerer that is the risk you take that nobody might make an offer.

As you gave the example of the chrome LBJ for base, anyone who was silly/rude enough to lowball like that would be looked on fairly lowly in all forums. The offers being made are normally as sensible as the card on offer.

They are good fun and I've won one on HK before.

I think if you have guidelines in your listing that you are after a similar value or certain cards/players then all would be good.

Do you think its worth a shot Billy?
If so i might get one happening

I know whats he talking about I was just making a point if you traded something of the same value for one day, could you trust you would get it back and they wouldnt do the runner type thing.

Get what back? Same trading rules would apply.

Could it be AFL (+ nrl, ufc, etc.) or just NBA?

Doubt it would be any good with AFL, as all you'd get is low ball offers..

It's a 24hr deadline to decide what the best offer is, not trade cards for 24 hours and then send them back to each other is what is meant mate

just say I put up a card worth of $20 and all I get is someone offer a crappy base card, do I still have to go through with the trade?

That's the inherent risk in doing so, yes :) But the 24 hour trade generates a lot of views for people looking for that sort of opportunity so chances are you'd get a fairly decent offer on it.
