...a lot can change in a few minutes! Take away the transition and you can see the lack of half court execution taking its toll. have to agree Gazey's comment re the subsitution patterns and consistency of lineups (or lack thereof) actually, some of these lineups and turnovers look like they haven't ever played together before.
Now the boomers are out Serbia play USA and France plays germany
I think it will be a France v USA final. With Germany getting the bronze what do you think?
USA v Germany for me too. France has the all-star players, but Germany has the all-star team. If the Boomers game has taught us anything - team chemistry on the court matters.
My boys are watching the replay of the game last night and it’s got different commentators. I think one of them was Andrew Gaze, unfortunately I had to sit through that annoying lady last night and that other dude

I think if you watched it on TV or the live 9now feed you got the Aussie commentary inc. Gaze. If you went through the 9 app and clicked on the specific basketball game to watch, you got a different commentator. During the group games it was a solo Aussie, but last night it was an American with a British woman on special comments.
That British women’s special comments were her thirsting over Giddey hahahaha. But when he found out she had actually finished school he wasn’t interested
Playing catch up on this thread. I'm probably not the only one who was wanting to see the US team go down this morning. The way the game played out it almost had the same effect I was looking for (this is not the Dream Team).
I'm also still in disbelief that Thybulle was left out of the team. He was a massive part of the team in Tokyo then we go a different direction in Paris... It's not like his performance has gotten worse. He averaged 1.7 steals per game in 22.9min/pg... I just hope it hasn't upset him to the point where he will decline playing for the team in the future.
Another interesting take out of the US team, Tatum playing ZERO minutes in the Serbia game. The guy just won the NBA Championship yet he can't get any playing time on this team?

I have heard a lot about this even from before the tournament and the interesting question is who does he play over?
Not the old guys — LeBron, Steph or Durant. Embiid, Davis and Adebayo have the centre minutes plus about seven at PF, so maybe he could get those seven, unless USA purposely wanted to go double bigs.
If you think the team wants a defensive guard next to Curry then no to the Holiday, White and Edwards minutes (which maybe co-incidentally adds up to 40). That leaves the 24 minutes that Booker played and if you wanted to swap them I wouldn't argue at all.
However, with just 40*5=200 minutes to go around things get tight quickly, especially when LeBron and Curry play 32/33 respectively.
I often wonder if the US would be better served having more "role players" in the Holiday/White mould rather than an excess of stars.
