We beat them in exhibition in 2019 as well. Apparently we're the only squad to beat them in consecutive meetings since 1992. Woohoo!

Thybulle looks like a perfect fit on this team...
World-class defender (seriously who makes an All-Defensive Team averaging only 20 MPG?!) with elite level athleticism and length... And can shoot the 3! He's an amazing pressure valve release next to Delly, Mills and Ingles who are all high IQ players but can be stifled a bit by athletic defenders due to their lack of explosiveness (or in the case of Mills simply height and length).
Seeing Patty, Delly, Ingles, Matisse and Baynes out there is a sight to behold.

You never know in the Olympic style of play... Any team can get hot and cause an upset...
Case in point: I was shocked to see Serbia didn't qualify for the Olympics as they won silver in 2016 and have a number of great NBA players like Bogdanovic, Bjelica and Jokic but they got upset by Italy in the qualifiers! Italy only has Bellinelli and a youngster who I believe just finished his rookie season for the Warriors in Nico Mannion.
Anyway this is our window to medal! No Serbia, no Lithuania and the other European contenders like Argentina and Spain are aging (Scola and Gasol are so old now)... Not to mention USA fielding a weaker team that has clearly got chemistry issues.
This might be our best opportunity to medal in a while. We already lost Bogut to retirement and by the time the next Olympics rolls around Delly will be 34 and Patty will be 36.
