Apparently moving to a bigger and better shop
Still in North Melbourne or moving elsewhere?Apparently moving to a bigger and better shop
its always been like that...and in most cases been way over priced...and thats keeping in mind brick and mortar have to jack the price up.Hopefully this one is better organised. Went there on a trip to Melbourne last year and basically walked in and walked out... cardboard boxes everywhere and the few prices we saw were quite overpriced IMO... just thought, geez, have some pride in your shop.... Maybe we are just spoiled having Sports Card World where its always welcoming and presentable

I also think Showstoppers will be a massive card value wise for as long as there are collectors, the others from Prestige, I'm not sure about (besides the big names/teams of course).
Best place to get older boxes and cases...I enjoy going in on the odd occasion to pick up a 01 authentic, 05 dynasty / tradition , 06 supreme or 07 supreme
Agreed not for this threadProbably not really a question for this Prestige post mate but I’m assuming Cardzone would be the go. Have an excellent range of older sealed boxes but you do pay a premium for them.
it was always going to head in that direction with De Goey and the Dusty pulling big $$.... more suprised with how low $$ some others are selling for..sweet looking cards and only numbered to #40. yet some teams cant even pull $300ish.The De Goey showstoppers cards are going for a mint on ebay so I'm sure they're hoping you're right!
I am a little surprised and disappointed by resale on BPPs and BVGs so farit was always going to head in that direction with De Goey and the Dusty pulling big $$.... more suprised with how low $$ some others are selling for..sweet looking cards and only numbered to #40. yet some teams cant even pull $300ish.

BPPs I understand a little if there is still some risk of season not being completed & impacts the Brownlow. Though again probability AFL do this is low (unless outbreak of virus, as too much $ at stake). This maybe highlights way forward would be 2006 concept of Brownlow predictors and just one wildcard in total.
BVGs on the other hand are a very nice looking card, and best players from each team. At 1 in 2 boxes you’d want to even see some of the not so popular teams for collectors still fetch $50-60. Though maybe the success of the green parallels is what’s impacting these at the moment. I reckon BVG will be a nice set to complete (and probably difficult to find moving forward)
I sell on eBay and the last 8 months I have sold more to new collectors than the people who have bought from me for years, especially with prestige the amount of new people buying is CrazyI think people are underestimating the impact of Covid on some of these secondary market prices. Sure, the big cards from big teams will get top dollar as once they're gone, they're gone but I feel many are staying away from the stuff there is an abundance on to maybe pick up down the track.

OK cool, I may be wrong then, I just see a lot of stuff passed on, on facebook at prices I thought they'd be snapped up for sure.
Yea I agree the west coast wild card not getting much when it could be Tim KellyThis is happening on both ends of the spectrum, some are going for pennies on the dollar including WCE while Collingwood and Richmond have gone through the roof along with a certain other players like Cripps and Stringer.
