I can confirm this as well, not sure when this info will be available but it will do away with the fake patches / alterations to cards.
All jersey cards will have plain jersey pieces and the sig cards will have the patch element to them.

Port Adelaide jersey card this year and it is Ollie Wines.

Only slight neg is he has had a DPS recently and a gold and a green sig in the pre draft cards.... Especially when there are plenty out there without a sig etc to choose from

Any ideas what the Guernsey sigs will be limited to? My guess around 30 to 40.. as i counted roughly 200 patches in the stringer guernsey photo....

I believe its 80 per signature player.....offset by the other insert for non jersey teams limited to 80 as well.

I also believe the numbering of the cards which has been moved to the front of the card will be used to identify cards and the patches in them.
 

-Not sure if both guernsey card / guernsey sig. You would think so if they save the patches for the bigger "hit".
-I read somewhere the sig/guernsey will be limited to 50 - don't hold me to it though.
 
damn it... stuck in a tough spot..... do i save the cash and bid on ebay / buy the cards i need.... or bust a couple boxes?

But with the increase, in which i have no probs with if you bust two boxes you could potentially just but the ollie wines sig and Guernsey cards

This was EXACTLY my predicament - before remembering that I haven't busted a box of anything since 2013, so I reserved box #7 in GoMoto's case share....and will also need to save money for the cards I want

This promises to be an extraordinary release and it is going to be really fun opening packs again!
 

Bit of a shame if none of the guernsey cards will have more that one colour patches. I'm a real sucker for an awesome patch.

No, the signature versions will, which in my opinion makes for an even greater card for those who pull it.

Having awesome patches on the non-sig versions will lead to an NBA-style situation where (in some cases) the cheap, higher-numbered patch is 10x better then the lower-numbered version, and nobody wants that (have seen this happen a lot before)
 

Yes I understand the signature versions will, I was just talking about the non signature cards not having 2 or 3 colour patches. I'm happy for the best patches to be kept for the signature cards but would still like to see 2 colours in the non sigs. But hey, I'm being picky. Loving the actual designs of the cards so far, looking like this could be the best release ever. I've been a big critic of some of Selects releases, and the lack of innovation. They previously have showed little interest in what collectors really want. But this series 2 looks to have all the goods. Can't wait to get some of these cards in my hands.
 
Final thoughts for checklist eve:

SCS Platinum Signatures (36); 1:108 packs; /080
Exactly the same as the gold variants but lower panel silver instead of gold
Certified Quads (36); 1:144 packs; /060
An upper end unsigned concept accumulating all 18 clubs; based on a concept from NRL 2015 Elite. Each card covers two players; one card depicting unsung key forwards (in favour of players normally not featured in front end cards of releases) and the other featuring two back-men. GWS example; Wilson/Hosking-Elliot (forwards); Davis/Buntine (backs)
Game Day Guernsey Signatures (9); 1:288 packs; /140
Pretty sure this will be the ration for siggy concept of this coming jersey card concept; 2 per case or just 1 if subject to inset mentioned below:
Footy Finest Signatures (9); 1:864 packs (1:2 cases); /040
Have a strong feeling this will be the anticipated "high end on signature", based on the /80 unsigned variant thus not to mention blue ink for a change - adapting to US high end sports signature cards but in saying that pretty sure/hope signature jerseys will all remain black ink.

So pieces of the puzzles are adding up to this:
12 boxes per case:
4 boxes inclusive of SCS Platinum signature (4/4)
3 boxes inclusive of Cert Quads (3/7)
2 boxes inclusive of Guernseys unsigned (2/9)
1 box inclusive of Guernsey signature (1/10)
1 box inclusive of Footy Finest unsigned (1/11)
1 box inclusive of another Guernsey signature OR Footy Finest signature
