thanks mark for having a go its a pity we weren't able to get a set or 2
on a positive note I have saved a fortune lol.
I probably wont put a full team set together now as it will be to expensive.
good luck to the lucky 5 people who have 15k to spend wish I did
set 2 became available the other day, as I have pulled out and stopped collecting any further esp cards.
As one gets older and starts to think what is ahead in life and having no chance in hell of having 1 of every card made, it is a no brainer.
If I could get 1 of each I do not think spending upwards of 25k is realistic, considering half of the set would be worth half of what I would pay now in 6 months and would not make any capital gain on it in the next 10 years.
To add a further comment, if any number 36 cards become available, I will still be collecting them.
Well at the end of the day this has beefed up all our demand for the product! Let's hope we all find our team sets easy the old way? bloody packet by packet
I think that is the fun away. Certainly not as cost effective but the most enjoyable part of the hobby is busting cards you wants/need and then trading with others to help

I agree, more fun opening boxes and packs but more expensive. Trading with fellow collectors is far better to build your collection and building a network of collector friends.
Another way to do the team collection more cost effective could be a multi case team share. If we can get case buyers together and bust a few cases.
The other good point to this Master Set not being available is that we can support the site dealers, Warren & Michael. They put a huge amount of work into the NRL products for the site and are always very helpful when looking for single cards to complete sets.

To be honest I know 2 collectors around the Sydney area that have got their names on 2 or the 5 master sets, number #5 being one of them. Alittle disappointing but I am guessing these 2 collectors had the $15,000 to spend in one hit, Katrina
The one thing i've found in collecting is that at some point, someone will want to stop collecting, or need money quickly and one of these sets will be up for sale.
I'm not saying it would be tomorrow, but I've often seen cards that were never ever going to be sold end up on the secondary market.
