Nice work Gee. I'm hoping Berry falls to us at #19, sounds exactly the type of player Dalrymple goes for. I like how you have picked a few different players going to different teams. Most of the other phantom drafts are exactly the same.
I'm bored, tired, and Dominos is delivering my pizza soon, so let's talk about the draft!
Did you know that today is 11 days til the draft? Some of the best players selected at 11 recently include Toby Greene, Steele Sidebottom and Tom Lynch (GCS). Last year's pick 11 was Wayne Milera by Adelaide, with the Crows having received the pick from the Damgerfield trade.
At the moment, pick 11 this year is held by North Melbourne.
Your thoughts guys?
I'd like to see the picks announced like in the NBA and NFL; Gil comes out and basically says "with the first pick in the AFL draft, the Essendon Bombers select Hugh McCluggage, Midfielder, North Ballarat Rebels", then the kid comes and gets his jersey and goes backstage. (And btw, the McCluggage selection was an example)
I also think that every kid drafted in the first round should get a team jersey, and maybe if the team isn't picking in the first round at all, the first pick that the club makes, the kid gets a jersey. Makes it more fun for everybody in the green room
I know it's unlikely, hoping for Sam Powell-Pepper to go at 27.
I am 90% sure that he got a perfect score in the combine goalscoring test. He's a great small forward who can push up into the midfield, and he'll be a great partner to Jack in the near future.
