There was an update to the iPhone app released yesterday which stated 'added iPad support. Improved performance and reliability'.

No detail as to what that actually involved, and as we know some app updates can sometimes make things worse as they try to configure operations for the various devices.

Anyway, if you haven't loaded the update maybe give that a try first.
