2014-15 NBA Playoffs Thread - SPOILERS!!!!

I'm calling 4-2 Cavs.

If LeBron is as good as he says he is (Mt Rushmore etc) then there's no way he loses another Finals series.

I've been waiting for GS to slip up, but they've been incredible. I still feel they have some weaknesses that can be exploited and I like how CLE match up with them.

Great game up until the OT period

Lebron - huge but why take 2 contested long 2's or 3's instead of take it down low and try to overpower Iguodala in the closing minute or so?

Curry - should've sealed the game in regulation if not for the amazing Kyrie recovery and block. Doesn't look good for next game or the series for Kyrie though!

Mozgov absolutely dominated Bogut. Surprising.

Ok game 1 over.

Cavs: looked like an unorganised team for most of the game, with lebron getting isolated to post up his man over and over and over and over, very ordinary for a finals team.

Gsw:seemed a much more organised team with everyone getting involved shooting well.
Much better team to watch imo.

Issues:with Kyrie getting injured
I could easily see Cavs being swept in this series just by watching game 1.

Way to much iso by the Cavs today

Have them winning 4-1, this game should be a wake up call for the others to step up

Oh dear.

LeBron keeps telling us he's one of the greatest yet can't hit the key shot to win the game.

It had the look of a Cavs win. Just couldn't close. Game 2 should be interesting if Delly can handle the minuntes and CLE can limit the Dubs bench output.

What did we learn today? That it's still a team game, James played as well as he could. This game right here proves why the Warriors will be champs, if the cav's can't win with James playing like that, what chance do they have when he plays just normal?

As Jennings said yesterday, if Kyrie doesn't come back, the Warriors are gonna end this 4-0.

And guess what? The Cavs just announced that Kyrie is going to miss the rest of the Finals series, since he is going to be out for 3-4 months following knee reconstruction surgery.

Cavs had little chance to win with a good performance from kyrie. They've got no chance in hell to win with him out.

Also, am I the only one shocked that Irving was playing 44 minutes after having feet and leg troubles last round? Only asking for trouble, ask Derrick rose

I don't see how GSW were looking dominant at all the whole game, if JR Smith had an OK game instead of a particularly woeful one, Cavs wouldn't have needed OT.

And who the hell plays an injured and such important piece of your arsenal for the series for 44 MINUTES IN GAME 1 !!!!
I think Blatt should be fired. Kyries' injury is squarely on his shoulders and should mean GSW take this series easy.

20 seconds left in regulation and the play is to ISO Bron and try a long shot.. instead of actually running a play, or a set screen get some movement involved. you can take a pressure shot anywhere on the floor when there's a second left, but at least try to get something easy in the paint first.

OT.. Cavs choke. nothing more to say.

I look at Blatt the same as I looked at Scott Brooks.. he'll get by on roster talent alone rather than being able to construct multiple styles of play for the team and keep it evolving.

He had a week off, it's the finals, the game was close so he had to be in IMO. Delly was having a shocker.

Couldn't agree more. Kyrie was on a nice game and clearly felt fine, hence why he said it felt "different" when he got hurt.

Chauncey billups spoke about kyrie being in position to tell the coach if he was struggling.

I can't fault Blatt, he seems to be a solid modern Day coach.

In regards to the final shot LeBron took, 100% agree Ben, he should have taken a better shot, but I think LeBron hit the exact same shot last playoffs right? It's clear LeBron does what LeBron wants.

Yeah, I wouldn't want anyone else taking the shot for the win, just questioning why a play couldn't be drawn up to secure a higher % shot.

Then again, maybe they did draw up a play and Bron chose his own. As we know and expect, Bron does what Bron wants. Though I think he's earned that.

He beat the Bulls on a last second shot and he beat the Warriors this season on a last second shot also I believe.. both long shots.
