Busted my box from Warren last night, hit the ratios...pleased I had a bourbon in hand to provide some excitement, when hopes of hitting a sig began to fade.
* Two base sets
* Best, Burt, Hornby, Young retirements
* Reynolds, Morris chart toppers
* Sea Eagles premiership card
Nice to bust a box again, but I probably got more of a thrill from the two folder packs I opened first, which had a Croker chart topper and the Hindy retirement card.
Enough has been said about the shortcomings of this series, but you have to think someone at ESP doesn't have a clue when the 'best' card in most boxes is from the same set as the card given away in the folder.
All up, inserts look great, nice concepts behind them, but needed a 1:36 or 1:72 'wow' card. Had I not got the hits from the folder packs I'd feel a bit cheated.
Commons are dull, no stats again, but there was an okay crop of rookie cards sprinkled through it.
Foils are foils - got bored of them years ago.
I'll be selling/trading off 35 of the parallels and will look to complete the Chart Toppers.
