Just around the corner we have the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy starting in England and Wales on June 6th.

In this thread please share your thoughts on
  1. Who you think might win
  2. Man of the series
  3. Leading wicket taker
  4. Leading run scorer
Also any general chit chat in regards to the series is most welcomed.

Cheers n beers
Damian

Can't bring myself to back any team which includes Shane Watson and David Warner unfortunately......I agree with recent comments from people that the current Australian team is bloody hard to like let alone admire.

1. England
2. James Anderson
3. James Anderson/Dale Steyn
4. Chris Gayle

  1. Who you think might win - Sri Lanka :P
  2. Man of the series - Sangakara
  3. Leading wicket taker - Steyn
  4. Leading run scorer - Gayle

Steyn is out injured for 5 - 7 days, and Morne Morkel sent home after bad injury last night.

South Africa's bowling stocks badly depleted.

Edit*
  1. Who you think might win - Sri Lanka :p
  2. Man of the series - Sangakara
  3. Leading wicket taker - Broad*
  4. Leading run scorer - Gayle

I think new zealand might be a smokey they have a attack suited to english conditions and they have just beaten england, and they play one day cricket well
also australia should rest clarke for the champions trophy and make sure he's right for the ashes, god help us if he is injured for the ashes!!!

Lineups for tonights Match -

Australia: DA Warner, SR Watson, PJ Hughes, GJ Bailey*, AC Voges, MR Marsh, MS Wade†, JP Faulkner, MG Johnson, MA Starc, CJ McKay

England: AN Cook*, IR Bell, IJL Trott, JE Root, EJG Morgan, RS Bopara, JC Buttler†, TT Bresnan, SCJ Broad, JC Tredwell, JM Anderson

England Won the Toss and elected to Bat first

George Bailey AGAIN rebuilding the Australian innings.

Since his ODI debut, his scores have been 48, 21, 59, 25, 19, 29, 65, 9, 46*, 23, 57*, 39, 1, 89, 26, 0, 22, 17, 125*, 44, 55 and at the time of writing, 53*

In the old days of "Australia A", Greg Blewett and Michael Bevan got their Test call-ups after showing good ODI form........I would be thrilled if Bailey earned a call-up if Warner loses the plot completely!

I f*****g jinxed him Raj! :-(

Agree with your prediction, might get more with Marsh and Voges at the crease and Maxwell and Faulkner to come.

I am thinking Mitchell Starc will struggle to be the leading wicket taker SITTING ON THE BENCH!

McClenaghan from New Zealand now has 8 in two games......
