2012/13 Kyrie cards? Are they really rookies?

Surely his 2011/12 cards must be considered his true rookie cards?

Given that Panini are releasing 11/12 and 12/13 products at the same time, in a unique circumstance I would say no. Any 12/13 card that is NOT a 11/12 release in this circumstance would be a RC.

There aren't any 11-12 cards of him!!

The 11-12 redemptions were not actually pack inserted cards, they were in effect, an IOU for a card that will be made in the future! That is why they are considered XRC's!

The 'true' RC's have to be the ones that are able to be pack pulled, which means only 12-13 products!

The 2012/13 base cards are RC's as they are live in pack for major distribution. The XRC's released as redemptions were not live in packs, so therefore are considered as XRC's.
