Fuck i am sick of this third umpire crap and the way a decision cannot be overturned unless the majority of the ball is hitting the stump etc. Warner was definitely not out then, you could see he didn't hit it, there was no hot spot from the ball, and there was nothing that sounded remotely like bat hitting ball...yet he is still out. And Lyon is out now too, we are batting like absolute crap. If Clarke and Hussey don't save us again then we are going to get belted.
And i am absolutely sick of umpires checking for a no ball nearly every single wicket...do your friggin job and stop covering yourself in case you made a bad decision...i guess because they make so many. "Oh we better check a no ball just to be sure...oh look he was 30cm behind the line"...how can they not see that.
See, this is bullshit...if someone is given out then to be overturned it has to miss the stumps completely. But is someone is given not out then only half the ball has to be hitting the stumps for the decision to be overturned. Ricky was out no doubt...but the system is flawed. Now if Clarke and Hussey don't do their usual thing we are fucked...they are bound to fail sometime.
So we are really fucked now...Clarke gone. Clarke and Hussey not gonna save us this time. Just goes to show how much depth in batting we really have when one of the top order fails to make their one good score per series.
When the Aussies struggled so much you'd be forgiven that it was a hard pitch to bat on today....nope, SA come out and score at over 6 an over with now a lead of 240 at 1/179 Now after drawing the test in Adelaide which we should have won we are going to be defeated 1-0 in the series. Better pray for a miracle before the Ashes or England has them again.
I think the effects of Adelaide are taking their toll on the team - although I think Nathan Lyon has held up remarkably well given his recent workload. You can see the difference in experince between the South African and Australian pace atrack in this Test match, we just couldn't put any consistent pressure on Smith or Amla this afternoon and it will unfortunately cost us the series, having dominated for most of it.
I'm praying for a miracle, but with the Australia A pace attack we have I'm not too confident.... Punter and Clarke put on a 300+ run stand to win the game? To the person above who said that Cowan saved his career with a big score now comes the rubbish.... Hard to argue, but lets also say the same for Warner.... sure he prob missed the ball but why the fuck would he play that shot at that stage of the game in the fist place????
