2012/13 Australian Cricket (SPOILERS)

Hey guys

With the sucess we had in last years thread and the test series against South Africa around the corner, i thought i would start a new thread basically like last year just toa talk about whats going on

We have a 3 match test series against South Afrcia and than a 3 match test series against Sri Lanka.
We than have a 5 Match ODI series against Sri lanka followed by 2 T20's against them.
We than play against the West Indies in a 5 Match ODI series and than we finish off with a T20 against the West Indies.

Michael's gonna be CLARKE of a courtroom. Did you WARNER? Otherwise she'll be COWAN in the corner. WATSON you say? Well Ricky is PONTING to Mike telling him not to HUSSEY, even though Matthew is WADEing. James is PATTINSON on the back, while Peter is SIDDLEing towards Mitchell, not really in a STARC contrast to Nathan who is just LYON around in Hilfy's HAUS.

Probably Starc, though it could pay to go with 4 quicks. It depends how much bowling we will get out of Watson.

Good stuff Raj!

Looks as though Shane Watson is a near-certainty to miss the first Test, also has to be doubt over Ricky Ponting with his hamstring. Two "cover" players are possibly going to be named tonight in case either or both don't get up.

cant wait ive got tickets for day1 of the first test although little worried about watto atm, and really hope we dont let cowan play Im sorry but he is the slowest batter ive ever seen

Got a feeling we haven't got much chance this series...Siddle only has a few decent games a year and Hilfenhaus doesn't get wickets unless it is swinging...The bowlers have just looked so non-threatening today as usual...Siddle and Hilfenhaus just don't get enough wickets and it is a real problem for Australia.

As for the batting, we will see the inevitable collapse followed by a couple of guys in the middle order getting us to a half decent total. I'd love to be proven wrong, but i don't see anything other than South Africa getting a huge first innings total and then beating us by an innings or close enough.

Yeah they haven't looked like getting a wicket at all since Pattinson got Smith. The SA batsmen just look comfortable out there...hopefully the Aussies can pick up a few wickets soon.

And that is why the challenge system is bullshit...just because the ball pitched half a ball outside off stump it is given not out despite the fact it hit the batsmen on the toe and was crashing into the middle of the stumps. Why give different rules for the umpire in the middle and the video umpire...pitching outside off stump should be fine in any situation.
