Hello OCT family and cricket mafia.

Thought I would throw a poll up too see who you all thought would be a worthy winner of the 2011 Allan Border Medal. For me, its a shoe in for Watson but stranger things can happen... especially in cricket !

Allan Border medal is Monday 7th February 2011 at Crown Casino. From memory, FOX Sports will show it live.

Yeah I reckon Watson as well. Also reckon he would have ODI player in the bag, and maybe Hussey for test player.
 
This time last season, I wonder how many of us saw Shane Watson's acceptance speech at the AB Medal and thought "Can this bloke be any more of a w***er?".

Geez, how fortunes and opinions can change in a year. His passion for his performance and his country is inspiring.

I hope Watto does win the AB Medal!

Oh, I still think he's a ****er. But irregardless of that he's been the best cricketer for Australia in the past year.
 
Congratulations Wato on your ODI Player of the year award.... his interview started of as nervous as ever but he seemed to settle down once into it !! lol

Yeh I still think he is as well, actually I reckon most of them are just overpaid underperforming w***ers. But Watson is worth whatever money he gets and he's performing. Haddin, Johnson, Clarke, Tait, has the aussie team ever been more unlikeable??

The rest, meh. Couldnt be stuffed with cricket at the moment. Roll on the FOOTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Possibly the most unlikeable in the side, shading Johnson. Haddin is too unreliable with both gloves and bat and a knob to boot. Waits til he gets to 3o then plays some insanely ridiculous impatient shot that costs his wicket. And Johnson, plays well once in every 13 games and thats enough to get him a 2 Million dollar contract.

Which is why I also said, Watson deserves whatever money he is getting. He's almost soley responsible for any success we've had in the past 12 months, and even when weve been flogged he's at least been consistent.
 
well done watto, very deserving win. if he doesnt get runs he gets wickets, the beauty of a decent all-rounder.
